These are some of my favorite tools that help me run my coaching business. Some options are free, some are not, but either way...
I wanted to share my toolkit with you!

Here's What I Use to Run My Coaching Businesses:
Kajabi
Kajabi is the best all-in-one platform to host your entire coaching business. You can use it as your website, for landing pages, email marketing, course, memberships, and even a community. It's not cheap (starting at $119/mo) but when you consider the services you can replace with it, plus the added convenience of having everything in one place... it's totally worth it.
This website, Ketology.co, and Sapien.org are all hosted on Kajabi.
Thrive Cart
Even though Kajabi has built-in shopping carts, ThriveCart takes the checkout experience to the next level. You can do much more customizing of the checkout pages as well as alternative payment options. It has built-in affiliate tracking, name your own price options as well as many other features. It's not a necessity, but it is a nice luxury to have, especially if they are still offering the lifetime deal for $690.
Circle
Circle is a premium membership hosting community. Think of it as the offspring that would be born if a Facebook Group mated with a Slack Channel. It's what I use to host KetoCoders.com
Covert Box
Convert Box is an awesome way to target visitors and collect leads. You can personalize messages to repeat visitors and much more.
Passion Apps
This is the platform I am using to build my KetoCode app. Pricing is from $97- $297 per month. (I started with the $97 option). Much better than $25K+ for a native app.
Calendly
Most of the scheduling apps have similar features, but I went with Calendly because of how simple and clean the embed codes look. See it in action on my discovery call page (feel free to book a call while you are there).
Upgrade your website without coding.
Elfsight widgets help 1,000,000+ website owners to increase sales, engage visitors, collect leads and more. Save your time and money with ready-to-use solutions and grow your business faster! ⚡️
Deadline Funnel
Boost Sales in Your: Email Campaigns, Evergreen Funnels, Live Launches, Upsells, Webinars, and Email Campaigns by giving each of your leads a unique and authentic deadline for your offer.
Website Platforms
Your website is your home base on the web and central to running a successful business and if you are just starting out, these are decent options, but I strongly recommend building on an eCommerce platform.
SquareSpace
This is what I recommend for most health coaches who are just starting out. It's easy to set up, easy to use and if you hire me for help, this and Kajabi are the only platforms I can help you with.
UPDATE: The recent updates to Squarespace (7.1) have made it a lot less user-friendly in my opinion. If you are building a business online I suggest going with an eCommerce platform such as Kajabi.
WordPress
WordPress is free to use, but I suggest investing in a professional theme which can range from $50 to $500. It's the most popular platform in the world, but very confusing to manage yourself unless you are a programmer. You'll also need to pay for hosting if you make your own site with WordPress.
Wix and Weebly
Both are other free or inexpensive platforms, but I don't recommend them because most of the sites I've seen look very amateurish. No link included because I do not recommend either.
eCommerce Platforms
If you plan on actually making money coaching others, you should consider investing in a platform that has built-in eCommerce capabilities. The easier you make it for people to give you money, the more likely they are to give it to you.
Kajabi
As mentioned above, I host my businesses on Kajabi and have been with them since 2017. I love how easy it is to design sites and how everything you need is all in one place.
Simplero
If I didn't already use Kajabi, this is likely the solution I would be using.
Simvoly
Similar to Kajabi, about half the price, but it doesn't include email marketing, so you'll need a separate service to communicate with your prospects and clients
Click Funnels
A lot of successful marketers use Clickfunnels, but it's super spammy in my opinion.
Podia
Everything you need to sell courses, webinars, downloads, and memberships.
(This is a very simple solution, but the design options are limited)
Teachable
I used Teachable for my first online course (The Lazy Man's Challenge), and while the course was nice, I found the design very limiting.
Groove Funnels
This one is new, but I don't know much about it.
Shopify
Shopify is the best if you sell and ship physical goods
Sam Cart
Sam Cart is an awesome, one-page website/checkout solution.
ThriveCart
Like Sam Cart, you can make single-page websites that include the checkout page right on the page, but instead of paying $99-$199 per month, for a limited time you can get a lifetime subscription to ThriveCart for $690. If you go with a basic website platform, you should certainly invest in ThriveCart because it will connect with any platform you choose, and even if you switch platforms in the future, you can always use ThriveCarts powerful checkout page solutions.
Email Automation
Email automation is a must! When people land on your website, it's super important that they give you your email address so that you can follow up with them automatically. I use Kajabi because it's built into the platform, but if you use something else to host your website, you'll need one of these services:
MooSend
The fastest path from email marketing to business growth.
Convert Kit
Whatever you make, make it known with ConvertKit
Mail Chimp
Build your brand, sell online—all in one place
Active Campaign
Not the cheapest option, or easiest to use, but probably the most powerful email automation software out there. If I didn't have Kajabi, I'd likely use Active Campaign
Bird Send
For indie creators who focus on creating great content rather than worrying about fancy-designed emails
Get Response
Powerful, simplified tool to send emails, create pages, and automate your marketing.
Mad Mimi
Simple Lovely Email
Drip
Drip makes your ecommerce marketing easy
Send in Blue
Thrive digitally as we guide your business with the right marketing & sales tools.
Community Platforms:
Most people just use Facebook groups to host their communities because it'c convenient and most people are already on Facebook. The problem is it's not very professional and Facebook also controls the client relationship. You have no way to email everybody at once, and they could potentially shut you down at any time. I think it's best to host your own community on another platform where you are in control.
Circle
The modern community platform for creators.
This is what I use to host Ketocoders.com and what Brian Sanders from the Peak Human Podcast uses to host his Sapien Tribe.
Mighty Networks
Build a business powered by community.
This is also a really nice option. Rob Wolf's Healthy Rebellion is on MN.
Skool
Put your course, community, and event schedule together in one place. Give your customers a better home. Stop paying for Kajabi and wasting time on Facebook. Simplify your life.
Payment Portals
Stripe
Square
Send professional invoices, track them in real-time, and accept payments online—all from one place. Save time with auto-billing, stored information, and powerful reporting tools.
PayPal
Grow your business with one of the most trusted names in payments
Automatic Scheduling
Save time when scheduling discovery and coaching calls by letting your clients and prospect choose a time that works with your schedule.
Calendly
This is the best option (in my opinion) for if no other reason because of how clean the embeddable widget will look on your website.
Acuity
Schedule Once
Web Chat
Embed a chat widget on your site to give prospects a way to connect with you instantly.
Drift
(this is what I use)
Intercom
(Super powerful, but also very pricey)
Many Chat
FB Messenger Automation
Graphic Designers
99 Designs
Fiverr
Moo
(sweet, affordable business cards)
Online meetings
Zoom
More resources will be added soon
